Why switch to WordPress from Shopify or Wix?

Fun fact that you don’t own your site on those platforms they do and so you and your business are at risk should they ever go down/out of business. They are good to support small business with limited budgets getting into the online space, but from an expansion and intellectual property standpoint (and SEO) they are not great. Migration away from these platforms on to another Client Management Solution(CMS) is also a show stopper. Neither one of these large organizations has an export option and both have been working on it for years and its gonna be ready real soon (it isn’t)
